Correct installation method of y-type strainer

First of all, before installation, the threaded connection surfaces of all pipes of the Y-strainer should be carefully cleaned, and the appropriate amount of pipe sealant or Teflon tape (polytetrafluoroethylene) should be used. End threads are left untreated to avoid allowing sealant or Teflon tape to enter the piping system.
Secondly, the Y-type filter can be installed horizontally or vertically downward. Just pay attention to the material of the gasket of the strainer when installing. If it is a non-metallic material, it is easy to be damaged due to excessive temperature.
Again, pay attention to the direction of the screens of different pipes. For example, the screen direction of the gas pipe should be horizontal, and the screen of the liquid pipe should be installed downward.

In addition, there are many types of Y-strainers, such as light filters, air filters, and liquid filters. Therefore, during installation, the installation method should also be determined according to the actual situation of different types of Y-strainers.
